A new study has confirmed that bananas, the world's favorite fruit, is in fact going extinct. The result, published in PLOS PATHOGENS, reveal that Tropical Race 4 (TR4) is a clone of Panama disease and that the quarantine efforts made to date have proven ineffective. This threatens the $11 billion global banana trade—and our pancakes.

Synchronicities are fleeting occurrences, but they exist. They are meaningful coincidences, significantly related to patterns of chance. Synchronous events reveal what many scientists intuit but can't quite prove—that there is an underlying order in the universe which the laws of causality can't fully account for. F.David Peat, physicist and author, Synchronicity: The Bridge between Matter and Mind, states that synchronicities appear when you are experiencing intense periods of transformation and creative growth.

Is it possible to learn synesthesia? As far as we know, we can learn metaphoric synesthesia. Metaphoric synesthesia, to some extent, comes from feelings, emotions and Imagination. And the more vivid all these experiences are, the more we are in, so to say, metaphoric synesthesia. And this helps us to experience more. This is what Marcel Proust describes in his novel Search of the Past and what he describes with his experience of the madeleine, a cookie put in tea and tasted—and the world of the past is coming out in the imagination.

Close your eyes and wave your hand around. At no time will you lose awareness where the hand actually is even though you are not using any of your other senses. Proprioception is the "unconscious" awareness of where the various regions of the body are located at any one time. Developed by the nervous system, proprioception is a means to keep track of and control the different parts of the body. Proprioception could be called a sixth sense, the ability we use to know where our body is in space. It gives us the ability, for example, to move through our home when it’s dark, just using the mental picture of the space stored in our mind.
